This top Tree of Life arrangement is based on the ideal numbers and strives for the most harmonious arrangement of all the numbers only. The Tarot descriptions here are added according to their corresponding number placement. The bottom Tree of Life path arrangement is based on the geometric configuration of the Tree of Life and can also be seen in the Cube of Space section of this site. The Numeric interconnections between the ten ideal characters of Numbers, 0-9, with the ten character cards of the Tarot, The Fool - The Hermit; also coinciding with the twelve double numbers, 10-21: the twelve signs of the Zodiac. The relationship between the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana is the same as the the relationship of the Solar Cycle to the Lunar Cycle. The Major Arcana is really quite simple, consisting of two sets, the ten major Solar System objects and the twelve spatial zones of the Zodiac. The 56 Minor Arcana of the modern decks consists of two subsets, one of male and one of female elements, with 28 cards each; each of these sets consists of two more subsets of 14 cards each, one consisting of an adhering and one of a dissolving nature. The Lunar cycle, in turn, has 28 days (male) and 28 nights (female), consisting of 14 waxing and 14 waning days and nights. The older Minor Arcana, a.k.a, the common playing cards, or gypsy deck, only had 52 cards; ten pips and three court cards. There are 13 moon cycles in a year and 52 weeks in a year. The three court cards correspond to the three dimensional modes, cardinal, fixed, and mutable, and the three states of the Moon, new, partial (waxing & waning) and full. The Tarot and the Tree of Life may have been different approaches to teaching the same theories of Numbering, Naming, & Imaging, and the Harmonizing of them within the Moment. I can certainly see how they had gotten married to each other in the first place. And I can see no good reason to stop using them in conjunction with each other. This is a demonstration of a breaking down of the Tree of Life into its primary components and then reconstructing them from a present point of view. In theory as long as the fundamental laws of Harmony are consistently adhered to, a coherent system of correspondence should arise. |
