This Tree of Life path arrangement is based on the ten basic characters of the Indian/Arabic Numbers: 0.1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9, which are called Ideal Numbers.
This is not to be confused with the 'ideal numbers' of Kummer or Dedekind's 'ideals' in 'Ring Theory'.

The Key number used in this lineup is the 'perfect' number 6. Six is the common denominator of all the numbers being used when reduced; that is when all the digit numbers of the paths and spheres are added together and reduced down to a single digit. No other Ideal number, only six, will obtain a result of all the ten accumulation points equaling the same number.

The numbers of the paths are derived from the 22 numbers of the Tarot, 0 through 21, the 22 Hebrew letters, and the 10 Planets and 12 Signs of the Zodiac (10+12=22).

Zero adds no quantity that is not already intrinsically present and doesn't change the nature of the number it is added to; however it is the qualifying source for the value all the quantitative numbers. It is the pause which defines one word, it is the silence which defines a sound, it is the light which defines the darkness.

Zero is the Unification Point of the Realms of Time, Space & Energy
and thereby the ultimate reference point for all measurements of
Time & Space. Everything has to start at some time and some place
and that time and place of beginning is the notion of a fixed Zero.
Once a constant placement for Zero is established all numbers
may manifest by a naturally recurring harmonic progression of
cyclic motion. Six is the Perfect Product of the Triune nature of
Zero (>0<) and thereby manifests into a perfect form called a Cube
of Space, a six equally sided square block. A measurement of
Space and Time using the 12 Lines of the Hexagram.

The base 10 Meter system just doesn't seem to share the same
harmonic responsiveness as the base 12 Foot system does.
Especially when it comes to pre-metric systems of measurement.
The foot system is based on an system of measurement whose
origins are so ancient that we don't know really know where it
came from or who really was first to use it. What we do know is that
it works very harmoniously with the proportional dimensions of
time, space, & matter. The Meter doesn't readily produce the third or
fourth, as well as the half and other harmonic relationships nearly as
well as the Foot system. It is far too focused on the counting advantage
and misses the qualities of harmony.
